Rack-mounted storage is the professional form of the energy storage line: standard-width 51.2V modules that slide into cabinets, wire in parallel, and scale a system by adding shelves rather than redesigning it. XD Battery documents three rack modules. The 5.12 kWh module (48V 100Ah class) is the volume unit for telecom and residential cabinets. The 5.376 kWh module (51.2V 105Ah) carries UL 1973 / UL 9540A certification named in its product documentation. The 10.24 kWh module (51.2V 200Ah) is the heavy shelf: 90 kg ± 5% per module in a 618 × 430 × 248 mm envelope.

The BMS documentation for the rack line is part of the specification culture here: cell overcharge protection thresholds, over-discharge cut-offs, temperature supervision — the module is a supervised system, not a dumb box of cells, and its front panel carries the practical interfaces of the class: power terminals, display, capacity indication and an output switch. For cabinet builders, the mechanical figures above are the design inputs; for system integrators, the electrical cut-offs are. Both are published because rack storage is bought by engineers.
Rack modules serve three buyers: telecom operators standardising 48V-class backup in modern cabinets, storage integrators building container and cabinet systems, and installers whose projects outgrow wall units. If your requirement is a cabinet quantity — tens of modules across sites — the quotation conversation includes spares ratios and staged delivery, which is how this class is actually bought.
What does the UL documentation cover?
The 105Ah rack module’s product documentation names UL 1973 / UL 9540A certification. Certificates are available upon request — ask for the documentation pack with your inquiry.
How many modules can parallel in one cabinet?
System design sets the limit (BMS architecture and busbar ratings). State your target capacity and cabinet, and the configuration is specified in the quotation.
Are the modules compatible with 48V telecom plants?
The 51.2V nominal is the standard "48V class" of modern storage. For telecom backup duty specifically, see the telecom battery page and describe the plant; pairing is confirmed per model.
Cabinet integration notes
The 10.24 kWh module’s 90 kg weight is the integration fact to plan around: cabinet rails and floor loading are specified for the populated weight, and modules are installed from the bottom shelf upward so the cabinet’s centre of gravity behaves. Busbar and breaker sizing follow the parallel count, and the BMS architecture — what supervises the combined system when modules parallel — is confirmed as part of the configuration we quote. Send the cabinet drawing or its make and shelf count with the inquiry; rack storage is one of the few product classes where a drawing replaces a paragraph.
One documented rack model — the 5.376 kWh 51.2V 105Ah module — names UL 1973 and UL 9540A in its product documentation; that naming belongs to that model alone. Other storage models publish their own certification names (CE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and RoHS appear on storage model documentation) — the marks for your configuration are confirmed on the quotation, and certificates are available upon request.
